Assessing the college’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats through a SWOT analysis is a valuable step in our planning process. The primary purpose of the SWOT analysis is to identify and assign each significant factor, positive and negative, to one of the four categories, allowing us to take an objective look at the college. This simple step offers powerful insight into the potential and critical issues to consider in our planning process, and it will be a useful tool in developing and confirming our goals and strategy.
During the college’s strategic planning kickoff meeting on January 27, 2017, each working groups conducted an initial SWOT analysis for their assigned area. The five SWOT analyses have been refined with input from a combined session of working group members. The results are posted in the pages listed to the left.
